1 Corinthians 8 tells the story of the early church and their struggle to live in a culture that opposed their faith in Jesus. One such dilemma was whether or not to eat meat sacrificed to pagan gods (like Zeus, for example).
So the question for Saint Paul to answer was: Is it OK to eat Zeus Burgers?
His answer was surprisingly "yes" - Zeus is nothing and therefore meat sacrificed to nothing is nothing.
But this freedom came with a condition: will eating that meat cause a less mature Christian to sin? If so - don't eat any Zeus Burgers. But if eating a Zeus Burger won't cause any division or confusion among believers - eat as many as you want!
As Christians navigate this world today we too encounter many things (sin, questions, challenges, hurdles, dilemmas, and of course, growth). Zeus Burgers features Christians across the spectrum of growth who are seeking to share this journey with anyone who will listen.
